A web page is the best place where you can showcase your pictures. Organizing them in a web album will make it easier, for any viewer, to see your work, but it may require some time and effort to create an album. If you can not spare any time, you can use Porta to create a web album as fast and easy as possible. Basically, you just need to select a pictures folder and click a button to generate your album, but you can also make a series of configurations, before starting the process.

Porta is freeware and you can run it on Windows, as well as Linux platforms. Besides the application's files, you can choose to install an additional option, in the Windows Explorer context menu.

Before it displays its compact interface, Porta will ask you to select a pictures folder, on a standard browsing dialog. You can name your album, type some information for the album's footer and click a button to create it right away. Alternatively, you can spend an extra minute, bringing up an options window and making various adjustments.

You can select a different skin and language for your web album, set the application to auto-rotate images, according to their EXIF information, add a watermark, include the original file names in the album and more. It is also possible to set a different size and quality for images and their thumbnails.

If you want to place your pictures in a specific order, you can edit the album on a different window. The software lets you rearrange your images by dragging and dropping them in different positions. Additionally, you may type an introduction, add a link and extract captions. Once you click the Start button, on the main window, the application will create your web album, in a few seconds. You can find the index and other files, in the same folder as your pictures.

Pros

It takes only a few seconds to create a web album. The application lets you customize it in various ways, without any difficulties. Porta is free and you can download and install the application very fast.

Cons

You can not use other images as watermarks. Thanks to Porta's straightforward functionality, you may create your own web albums as fast as possible, without typing any code.
